What is an MX record?
A DNS record that says which mail servers receive email for your domain. Each has a priority: the lowest number is tried first.
Why do MX records matter?
Without working MX records, email sent to your domain can bounce or go missing, and customers never hear back.
Is the MX lookup free?
Yes. No sign-up and no card. It reads your domain's public DNS records, and nothing about you is stored.
